At its core, GoToConnect is a telecommunications provider founded on a simple premise: it wants you to be able to access your critical business communications functionality from anywhere, at any time, using any device that you’re already comfortable with, like iPhone or android. This capability reduces the need for extensive training, because most people are comfortable with their smartphones. Because of that, the company has gone to great lengths to offer everything your business needs to run completely virtually – which itself has become increasingly important during the first half of 2020 in particular.

This means that in addition to cloud-based business phones (also commonly referred to as voice over Internet protocol, or VoIP for short), you also get video conferencing, text, chat and much more.

The major benefit of this is that employees can communicate and collaborate with one another easier than ever, all via a desktop or mobile application or even their web browsers. At the end of 2021 and moving into 2022, GoTo Connect is rolling out several updates, which could be helpful for those looking for a strong teleconferencing and VoIP phone service.

One of the biggest changes recently arrived in the contact center, with the advent of web chat queues. This update allows users to add a chat widget to the website. Then, customers can ask questions directly from the website, saving them the trouble of picking up the phone. Then, these questions are filtered into chat queues, allowing customer service agents to respond. Right now, this feature is only available in English, and it is only available for those with GoTo Contact Complete plans.

In addition, there are a number of major updates taking place for the GoTo Mobile platform. Now, voice users can enjoy primary extension tagging. This makes it easy to identify primary extensions, as they will now be shown first. Those who enjoy GoTo Connect Messaging can take advantage of new file sharing for channel messaging. This makes it easier for team members to collaborate with one another on various projects. In addition, 1:1 meetings got a resolution update, is it has been upgraded to 1080p.

There are a number of other improvements the platform has made as well. The new call history function will be more reliable, and numerous improvements have been made to the user interface. The program has been optimized better for performance on Android devices. It’ll be interesting to see how these updates impact GoTo Connect in 2022 and beyond.

All told, GoToConnect is one of the many products developed and offered by the team at LogMeIn, Inc. – with GoToMeeting being another one of the more prominent examples. LogMeIn is a technology firm that was first founded 17 years ago in Boston, Massachusetts.     + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review I did a lot of comparison shopping when selecting a VOIP provider for my business. There are a number of reputable companies out there and they all offer similar features.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negtive Review This company simply cannot deliver MOST of what if promises when you sign up. Their mobile app is an utter failure. Their concept and price structure is great; sadly, the services just don't work.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review Moving to GoToConnect just before COVID lockdowns was a godsend. The ability to have staff work from home was a huge help. While the onboarding process was intense, GTC staff were there at every step to help. And the customer support ever since, at every step and for every issue, has been fantastic.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review If you're calling through your computer or phone app, you will have a lot of dropped calls. Many of our reps use the app on the phone (or call through their computer) and report a horrible quality expereince and many dropped calls, with some switching to their old Google Voice number to complete the call.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review I like that you can make calls and text on your computer with just a few clicks. I think that it is one of the best things you can have now that the world has gone less with face-to-face interaction.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review We've had a few "outages" where they claimed there were not seeing any issues. But we were able to eliminate our local devices, our Ubiquity router and our ISP as the culprits, so...yeah. But you can't really expect the system to be up 99.99999% of the time. That said, my biggest gripe is the unadvertised 30 DAY WARRANTY on devices through them.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review It is the most effective unified communication service that we know, and truly, it plays a vital role in our business communication. GoToConnect has a quick configuration for starters. Then it present clear voice and video meeting at any location.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review I really wish we hadn't switched, even though this is much less than our last provider. The UI is clunky, it's only a web app so it gets closed or outdated all the time, and after months it still isn't set up the way we'd like it.
