During the past year, Ring Central has become one of the most popular options for a multi line business telecom provider, particularly those looking for unified communication capabilities. The platform is known for providing customers with a variety of tools that allow them to stay productive from just about anywhere. Now, there are new innovations coming to the platform, particularly for those who use Ring Central MVP. Updates are coming in analytics, messages, video technology, and phone services.

Users will enjoy access to cutting-edge analytics that go far beyond the general world of IT. Users can take advantage of new metrics that allow businesses to increase productivity, reduce overhead expenses, and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment. For example, managers have the ability to take a look at call activities of individuals directly tied to revenue and sales outcomes, allowing managers to shift team members to place them in the best position possible to be successful. This will be available in Q1 of 2022.

For those who need to do teleconferencing or videoconferencing, it can be a challenge with double-booked calendars, varying time zones, and repetitive meetings. Live transcription is a new feature, and Ring Central can do this in real-time. As the meeting continues, conversations are turned into text, helping users catch up. This will be available in early 2022.

For those who enjoy Ring Central Rooms, it will soon be possible to switch my mobile meeting device to a full meeting room with just a single click. Users attending the meeting using the app on their smartphones can move the meeting to a larger screen immediately. This feature should be available at the end of 2021.

Many are looking for a business phone system that offers a multi line phone system for small business, and Ring Central has become a popular option during the past year. It will be interesting to see how these new features unfold.

    Works well if you are utilizing only through a desktop phone, but using the service through their app is cumbersome and labor intensive. Forget about faxing through RingCentral. It won’t fax to the party selected if several people in a firm have the same fax number.

    + PROS: The phone system is very programmable to meet a lot of different company scenarios and works very well if you are using a desktop phone to utilize the system... not so much through the desktop app.
    - CONS: The app is very limiting. You can not sort your contact lists by anything other than first name. The contact search function does not search any field other than the first and last name, does not include a company search criteria. You have to have an existing contact in order to fax and have your cover page prefilled with the party you are actually sending the fax to, otherwise it is blank but the most discouraging thing is that if you have several contacts who have the same company fax number, the cover page is changed to the first alphabetical person in your contact list that has the same fax number, regardless of who you clicked on to send the fax to. The contact list accessed online through the service channel allows you to group your contacts by types, but it will not show in the desktop application. Customer support simply notifies you with "i'm sorry, this is the way it is designed to work". These seem to be very basic needs for a company that RingCentral can not meet at this point in time.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review I like that I'm able to change my number so that I can pick a recognizable number for the prospects I'm calling. I also like that all calls are recorded. We use the recordings for training, quality checks, etc. The ability to put people into call queues is convenient.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review The Tech support system is terrible. In my latest bout, I would call the tech support number, input endless information , wait on hold for long periods. Then in 6 separate instances over a period of 3 days, I would promptly be disconnected after going through a description of the problem.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review The audio quality is excellent either via the desktop app or smartphone app (using iPhone SE). I wish I could change the outgoing v-mail message (i.e. out of office) more easily from the app, instead having to log into their website each time. Their app is very easy to use and their features are not limited to phone calls
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review Vendor admittedly ignores contract provisions and stonewalls attempts to revert their incorrect invoicing to be compliant with the terms of the contract. Vendor cannot produce a clean invoice and despite continual meetings and assurances.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review My overall experience with Ringcentral is very positive. The purchasing experience was quick, helpful, and easy. Once we purchased the software, we had all of the support we needed to get started. We were up and running very quickly and training users was easy. I highly recommend the product.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review: Has a lot of features. Too many in my opinion. Product sounded really good from marketing material. Very difficult product to use. - Not as easy as everyone made it seem. I thought the AM would be more helpful.

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review RingCentral was very easy to setup for our local office as well as remote employees. We mainly went with RingCentral for this functionality. I could order and ship a phone to a remote employee
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review There are some great features but they have a lot of glitches to work out. Not super user-friendly. AWFUL customer service makes it not worth trying

    + PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review It's very user friendly, they have great customer service. Our company has their own account manager which happens to be very helpful.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review For a period of time, I was not able to place or receive calls while WFH because I heard that I had to be under the company's network - i.e. physically in the office with my laptop - in order for RingCentral to operate properly.
