Update - 2022.02.18

What you need to know:
Recently, Phone.com reported a significant amount of growth, surpassing the 40,000 customer mark for its cloud-based collaboration and business communication services. In addition, Phone.com announced that the company was named as the INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year for 2021 under its Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS) provider, showing the prowess of its product and the popularity of its business phone system.

Phone.com has enjoyed significant growth during the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic. With many business operations being disrupted, many companies saw employees working from home for the first time, and they need to secure reliable, versatile UCaaS networks that make it easier for people to work from home or work from anywhere via teleconferencing. It has become apparent that the company’s flexible, unique pricing models place the user in control, allowing them to decide what they pay for and what they do not. In particular, the mix and match plans allow customers to customize their plans to meet their needs without having to sign a long-term contract, a significant advantage of Phone.com plans.

Even though the business phone provider has enjoyed a significant amount of growth in 2021, the company could be primed to grow even further in 2022. With the company adding customers left and right, there could be even more phone plans introduced, as the company tries to widen its user base. Even though Phone.com has a strong customer service team right now, it will be interesting to see if the business is able to scale with its customer growth. Without a doubt, this is one of the top business phone plan providers to watch in 2022, particularly for companies that are looking for a business telecom provider that offers a VoIP phone service. Phone.com has become one of the most popular options for business phone systems.

Here are a few examples of Phone.com customer comments about the quality of products and customer service they have received from the company:

“The admin portal is so easy, the phone selection is great, but my favorite thing about Phone.com is the stellar customer service.”

(See review at Phone.com)

Betty Aldworth, SSDP
“I chose Phone.com because their features perfectly matched my current business needs as well as a great path to grow as my business needs evolve, and they’re reasonably priced. They were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. Highly recommended.”

Madison James, Web Writer Associates

Phone.com Case Studies

Naturally, even more telling than customer comments are the findings from more in-depth case studies of the outcomes for customers using Phone.com telecom services platform software over time. Below are some excerpts from customers’ assessments of solutions implemented for their businesses through Phone.com.

Results of the various studies consistently indicate strong preference for Phone.com services among long-term customers and marked improvements in customers’ convenience and efficiencies in operating their small businesses using their Phone.com communications platform services.

Here are some excerpts from just a couple of examples of the typically exceptionally positive customer evaluations found in the Phone.com case studies:

User Tools and Telecom Services:

“I love just how feature-rich these features and offerings are. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of services, tools and capabilities, no matter what your size or the nature of your business. I also love how we don’t have to deal with multiple companies and many different apps to do different things—with Phone.com, we avoid “app overload” and get everything done under the same company.

Everything is so much more streamlined and simplified this way. No more cobbling things together to make things work—that has always been such a hassle!”

Customer Support:

“Phone.com’s customer service has been fantastic. The team is responsive, easy to work with and always coming up with a “can do” attitude about everything. What’s more, I have relied on these folks for their flexibility and innovation, such as coming up with new ideas and solutions in anticipation of something we need but may not know is available or possible.

From a service perspective, it is super-critical for us to have a live person who cares and responds. We don’t have the time or patience to jump through hoops with a knowledge base…we really prefer real people who can efficiently address our issues and answer our questions, and this is enormously valuable to me and for my team.”

Chris Pallé, Co-Founder of Vi, a growing New Jersey-based co-working and collaboration space, Locations in Holmdel and Oceanport, NJ .

Automated Telecom Services Platform Features

“Automated systems added efficiency to the process. Callers could more easily get to our information and get their claims to the insurance companies. A lot of people like the automated system, they don’t need to look up numbers since they can come to me to get into the automated billing system. These systems are a real time-saver, and allow agencies to get real work done.”

Easy Administration

“Being able to make changes online through the control panel is great. I can make changes myself and not have to contact customer service. It’s perfect.”

Easy Scalability

“This service is good for any size agency. Even if you have just one phone/phone number, it is competitively priced and has so many features. You can start out small and grow as you need it. It’s so flexible and you can do so much with it.”

Why is VoIP Telecommunications Best?

VoIP technology creates and transfers data packets from digital signals that it has converted and translated from sound signals. This technology typically requires no hardware or systems maintenance at customers’ physical business sites. That allows VoIP telecom services customers to get much more for their business communications dollar. It means major savings initiating new service and in ongoing routine systems operations, maintenance, and administration.

VoIP for businesses can normally be expected to include most or all of these telecom services:

+ PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review I used them before, then I tried something else and now I'm back to Phone.com. Besides the very fair pricing they provide the uncomparable customer support! It's always friendly, they will spend as much time as it takes to set you up, to fix any issues and are very happy to have you as a customer!
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review The customer experience is horrendous. We deal with several software vendors and this one takes the top prize for the most impersonal and dismal customer experience. Their support is lackluster, dismissive, and unresponsive. I have been transferred to tech support chat only to sit on the chat for 45 minutes as the next in queue for the feature to then close and say "agents not available."

+ PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review Phone.com does everything I was looking for in a VOIP. As a small business owner, it sure beats having to purchase a stand-alone phone.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review The customer service department is inadequate and cannot do anything including accept a return. They prefer to put you on hold to the point you want to hang up.

+ PROS: Most helpful: Positive Review It's HIPAA compliant with a signed BAA. Voice quality is excellent. The price is very affordable. It has the option to text and transcribe voicemails.
    - CONS: Most helpful: Negative Review The porting process has been an absolute nightmare. I've never experienced a company who cares so little about helping it's customers. Customer support simply doesn't seem to care a single bit about the massive inconvenience to our business that this porting delay has caused our business.
